Applied Research Day took place at Algonquin College on April 12th, 2017. Alex Brasier, Josh White, Daniel Gendreau and Hayden Strachan showed off their work on a project they had been working on for Gedawin Novo Controls throughout the school year. The project turned out great and we are really happy with the results.
The four students answered many questions at their booth from a public that was very interested in hydropower and its benefits.
At the end of the day, they presented Geoff Shewfelt, President of Gedawin Novo Controls, a framed photo of the above picture as thanks for sponsoring their project.
We hope everyone can make it out to Algonquin College’s Applied Research Day. It takes place Wednesday, April 12th. It is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Visit Hayden Strachan, Josh White, Alex Brasier and Daniel Gendreau at their booth as they demonstrate the concept for Gedawin’s new mini-hydro controls system
They have put a lot of work into the mini-hydro system project. They did a great job designing and building the system.

The staff of Gedawin Novo Controls opened their office up today to a group of Algonquin College students. The students are working with us on a project related to hydroelectric stations. We are really impressed at how dedicated they are to the project and how quickly they are understanding the hydroelectric industry.
Thanks for all the hard work guys!
